North Toledo Bend Wildlife Management Area
Forested Wetland Enhancement
Purpose: To facilitate water management on 500 acres, regardless
of Toledo Bend Reservoir water levels. This was accomplished through installation
of a large water control structure and improved levee. The area provides excellent
waterfowl habitat in the form of moist-soil plants, submerged aquatic vegetation,
flooded timber, and cypress swamps. North Toledo Bend WMA is open to public
hunting.
